European upgrade in Queens, NY

This modest kitchen renovation in Queens, New York involved extensive preparation work because the floor was notably unlevel. We started by removing the existing floor and subfloor to expose the joists so we could sister in new level joists. From there we lay the subfloor and the oak flooring on top, before staining it and finishing it with polyurethane. We also upgraded the kitchen electricals and provided the finishing touches in the form of tiles and paint. One highlight of this project is the addition of European kitchen cabinets, which brought a sleek, modern look. Our favorite feature is the bench beneath the window; it's the perfect spot for someone to enjoy a sit and while the host cooks.
